THE DAYS & NIGHTS OF NETUK

The filmmaker, on a journey to Lingthem - a sleepy little village of the Lepchas in north -west Sikkim, meets a Lepcha old man named Netuk.The Lepchas are beleived to be the indigenous people of Sikkim.Netuk starts telling him their creation story.But the story is left midway and the evening rolls into a night.Restless to know the rest of it, the filmmaker stays back with Netuk for a few more days.He follows Netuk wherever he goes. But the rest of the story never comes. What unfolds instead is the entire vista of a village and its people in their enormous journey through time.
